FAQ
1How is going solar reducing my budget?
By choosing to sign with Solar Lease, you will be saving more money as our solar energy costs much less than conventional “Diesel Generators”. Customers don’t have to worry about paying upfront investment bills or any cost that goes towards operations, maintenance, and construction rates that go towards the project. In fact, you will only be subject to paying a monthly solar bill once the project is finalized and produces electricity, nothing else.
2What is included in Operations and Maintenance?
Operations and Maintenance services are all provided and taken care of by Solar Lease with no additional cost and the details are specified in the lease agreement and contract signed for the project. The services provided include:
• Ongoing 24/7 system performance and operational status monitoring.
• Minimum of once-a-month cleaning of solar modules and maintenance check. However, this varies based on the weather condition.
• Ensuring the continuous availability of remote monitoring access to you both through an online web page and a phone application.
• Dusting of inverters once every 6 months or when needed.
• Preventive maintenance schedule as per the equipment manufacturer's recommendations, guidelines and warranties.
3Are there any other costs involved except for the monthly solar bill?
No, the monthly rent is all inclusive.
4How does solar energy work?
First, the photovoltaic panels that make up the solar system convert energy from the sun into direct current (DC) electricity. The inverters then convert the DC power in to alternating current (AC) electricity that will then be used to power the company’s electricity consumption needs. Any excess energy on site goes to the batteries.
5What happens if your solar system shuts down, will I be out of power?
When you sign Solar Lease , we guarantee to operate and provide you with consistent power generated from the solar system installed at most times. However, you will lose power in case:
a- you use power more than you produce
b- During continuous storms and not enough power is produced
There are options to overcome these issues by:
a- Oversize your system
b- Keep a minimum connection to the generator
c- If EDL is distributing power toy your home, fill up the batteries from EDL.
6 Is there a minimum commitment of power consumption for solar to be viable?
All projects are approached on a case by case basis and we try to work with what will benefit you as the client and keep best interests on mind so for specific details, you will have to meet with our team to find out what works best for you.
7Is it better to lease or buy solar panels?
Leasing and buying solar panels come with their own unique advantages. OUVRAGE gives you the option to buy your solar panels. When you own your home solar system, you don’t have to worry about monthly payments. However, you’ll be responsible for any repairs and maintenance your solar system outside the scope of your home solar system’s manufacturer warranty. Going solar can be costly. That’s why Solar Lease also offers stress-free solar leasing, so you can go solar for as little as USD 500 down. You’ll only be responsible for paying a low monthly bill or pay the lease up-front. Because OUVRAGE owns the system, we’ll also provide 24/7 monitoring and maintenance during the length of your agreement, free of charge. That means clean, worry-free energy that’s guaranteed to save you money, and if it breaks, we’ll fix it!
8 How many solar panels will my home need?
OUVRAGE will help handle all the details for you. Every household is going to be different depending on several factors.
9 How much power do I need?
Check your electric bills to see how many kilowatts you use on an average day. We’ll go over this with you in more detail during your solar consultation to figure out just how much power a solar system will need to produce in order to power your home.
10Do PV Solar Panels produce Power when it is cloudy?
Believe it or not, solar can work well even if it’s overcast
11How long do solar panels last?
Solar panels can last anywhere between 25 to 30 years, sometimes more. This doesn’t mean that the panels on your roof will stop producing electricity after a couple of decades. It just means their energy production will decrease by what solar panel manufacturers consider optimal to meet the average household's energy needs. With proper care and maintenance, you can expect to receive significant solar benefits for the next 20 to 30 years.
12How long do batteries last?
We offer two type of lithium batteries Type A warranty is 10 years or 4,000 kWh for each kW installed. Example: if you lease or purchase a lithium battery A Class with a capacity of 9.6 kW, you will get a warranty of 10 years of 38,400 kWh
